For Barbie's 65th anniversary, Barbie and Stanley launched a limited-edition Quencher collection, with each cup inspired by an iconic era and doll. The pop-up had to celebrate Stanley and honor Barbie's milestone at the same time, which meant finding common ground between two very different brands in two very different categories.
Social and cultural listening across both fandoms revealed what most people miss. Stanley's viral Quencher moment makes it feel like an overnight sensation, but it's actually a 100+ year-old brand that started as the rugged, all-steel bottle of choice for blue-collar workers on job sites. Like Barbie, Stanley is a true legacy brand. That shared heritage was the common ground: two icons, each built on generations of loyal fans.
That shared legacy became the North Star for the creative: Legends, a four-city pop-up tour that celebrated both brands as icons, invited fans to step inside the Barbie eras behind the collection, and let them take home their favorite Quencher before it went on sale online.
The recap · Legends Pop-Up Tour
Stop 1 · New York City · Legends Records
Fans lined up for hours outside Legends Records, an immersive space inspired by the music and fashion of Barbie's most iconic eras. Each era got its own sounds, style, and shareable moments, plus a merch zone where the collab Quenchers sold (out).

Stop 2 · London · Legends Skateway
We rollerskated across the pond to channel Barbie's disco era. Guests laced up and skated under a shimmering branded disco ball, all in celebration of Dynamite Barbie, the first Black Barbie doll and the inspiration behind one of the collection's star Quenchers.
Stop 3 · Houston · Legends Saloon
Next, we saddled up at a honky-tonk inspired by the iconic '80s Western Ken. Vintage photo booths, real line dancing classes, and a saloon-style bar gave fans every reason to share the experience and take a Quencher home.

Stop 4 · Los Angeles · Legends Swim Club
The final stop celebrated the endlessly iconic '60s Barbie with synchronized swimmers in her signature chevron suit, era-inspired photo moments by the pool, and cat-eye glasses for fans to cop and pose in.
